As my strength increases, so does my willingness to fight

Although I did post my Rune of the Day in my other platforms this Wednesday, I didn't write anything here because I had to go to the dentist and by the time I returned, I couldn't come up with anything interesting. But today is the beginning of July, Children's Month in my country, and I wanted to expand a bit on the topic I discussed earlier this week, about the crucial importance of the child for our civilization.

In the past few days my spirits have been on the rise. I feel as if I completed a very tough part of a grand ceremony and now I can sit comfortably by the fire and just enjoy the music. Coupled with that, I've also received the information I required for my next quest regarding the process in my country and also my own personal process of evolution. Yesterday, I got a new boost for this task after watching the official hearing of the Inter-American Commission of Human Rights regarding the health situation of children and adolescents who are patients of a children's hospital here in the capital, and who have been suffering enormously with complex conditions that demand not only special and costly treatments, but also implants that the regime here have been unwilling to provide them with. Several patients were allowed to explain their context to the authorities and human rights defenders online, painting a dire and shocking picture of the panorama of healthcare in Venezuela. All of them spoke of how many other children they've seen die of ailments that they themselves are experiencing now. The bravery, anger and sadness of these kids is astounding. I wish I could share an English version for you to watch.

But quite frankly, even though their pain is great and the circumstances they've been forced to go through are deplorable, when I watched this hearing, my main feeling was joy that they could talk openly about this before international authorities, that's been completely impossible for most of their lives because of this regime, which has, at the height of its repressive power, kept them under the yoke of murderous security forces so that their parents and representatives couldn't speak up for them without retaliation. The fact that they could do this now is yet another sign that the oppressors have lost their control to such an extent that they can no longer forbid citizens to express themselves about the many abuses we've had to endure. The hearing itself is the latest in a series of blows against their last bastion of power.

So I write this as a Warrior ready to stand beside children and teenagers here and everywhere, to speak for them when they're forced to be silent, to fight the battles they can't wage, to exalt their honor and praise them for their wonderful example for us all. I write this in reassurance of their dignity and as a pledge to use my entire set of tools to their benefit. Our children deserve to be heard, their rights must be respected, they're entitled to the safety and leeway to live, love, explore and grow, and I'm determined to do everything I can in this moment to guarantee them that.

There are moments in which it is necessary to detach from objects that you consider treasures, any physical attachment is a chain. Spread the ashes of what was to the wind and to the water, rest from the weight that you have been carrying. Stop playing dice with important aspects of your life, especially at the intimate level; the more you ignore the gravity of the situation, the worse the consequences will be. Show your emotions sincerely, open your heart and your eyes to the wonders that others can offer you. Sacrifices are merely payments for new states of consciousness, renounce by your own choice of you shall be forced to do so. Awe is a way of life.
