From obedience to leadership

This weekend was intense. The air in my country was pretty heavy and since Thursday, the day of the Full Moon, we've had stormy skies and dense rain with interludes of clear sunlight. Personally, I was feeling disoriented, a bit sad, nostalgic for some unidentified reason. I was also translating a report on sexual abuse against women and girls, the hardest of the topics I've dealt with during my involvement and research on Human Rights, and working on my feelings about the recent choices of a beloved friend whom I've felt drifting into a very complicated situation, and whose situation I can't directly affect in any way.

All of these things came together on Friday and I had to perform a couple of rituals in order to clear up my mind and also find out what was actually going on beneath the surface. The first ritual involved having a serious spiritual conversation with my friend, telling him everything that I feel and why I've made the choices I've made since his current process started. The second focused on my country's situation and energy, and I was able to recognize the connections, the main nodes of tension, regarding the political, social and karmic contexts of this land and the entire world. Both rituals helped me enormously to find my compass again and the second in particular showed me why the regime in Venezuela still clings to power even when I know they lack the strength and cohesion to continue doing what they've done. Yesterday, I did a Rune reading about the country with the aid of my friend Rebeca in Argentina, who's also going through a profound transformation and needed to get back into balance. The reading further corroborated what I'd found in Friday's ritual.

The worst crimes committed here and elsewhere in the world for millennia have been domestic violence and sexual assault, because they involve the breaking of trust in the most intimate context possible. The overwhelming majority of victims are women and children, and there's a direct, essential connection between their pain and the structural composition of tyrannies everywhere. These crimes lie at the very core of every oppressive system, because the oppressors, mostly men, have all been mistreated in their childhood and raised by women full of anger and resentment for the abuses they've had to endure. I identified this place of shadow and after invoking the power of all women as expressions of the Mother, the Queen and the Priestess, I symbolically dropped to my knees and offered my sword as a symbol of loyalty and trust, asking them to forgive the transgressions of all abusers and criminals in the world. I was then allowed to stand as an equal among all Queens and saw the onset of a great Wild Ride of Righteous Fury beginning here in this land and expanding across the world in waves. Then, in the reading, I saw the next step that we as a society and as a civilization must take: we must exalt children, elevate them to their rightful place of command and authority, a task that requires that women take up the mantle and responsibilities of rulership.

Children are our most precious wealth in this world, for they see and create the future, they're naturally pure of all transgressions and predispositions, and they're effortlessly connected to the Present. They're our great teachers on Possibility and Beauty, and yet, we've built civilization upon civilization in almost complete disregard of their wisdom and insight. In fact, most people don't even truly consider children as people with their own rights and opinions, they're seen as empty vessels which must be filled with information. Inevitably, this leads to great imbalance, because then children grow up to be anxious, insecure adults that repeat the same patterns their parents and educators instilled in them, unable to fully make use of their enormous capacity for innovation. We can no longer afford this and in the coming years, it must and shall change. We're required to put children at the forefront of human advancement, their opinions must be heard at all levels of society, even in our governments and assemblies. They must be shielded from harm and given complete freedom to experience the world around them without danger, such is our task, and the reason why the Queen must rule.

Of course, the only way that we can do this is to connect with our own inner children, to return to the innocence of the Now. It's no easy work, but it's transcendental for our development as a species and even for our survival. Children deserve our utmost respect and attention, and we deserve to be led by them into an unimaginably bright Tomorrow.

Rune of the Day: Gebo

Hold your resources with a light hand, offer them in abundance and without fear. Even if you do not expect anything in return for your collaboration, the reward shall come. You must choose which talent to use to solve a conflict, you will be unable to apply everything you know, the circumstance restricts you. Find the point of confluence, the original node; modifying it will affect the entire network. Exercise your will with precision, implement the changes surgically, go to the specific detail and preserve your energies. The same territory can look very different from various positions, everything depends on your approach. Identify the points of pressure and leverage, apply only the necessary strength, do not overreach; the most complex mechanisms and structures are activated or stopped with a single button. The horizon is a vision of the possibilities, you can always go as far as your eyes can see.
