From Bottom to Top in a Single Stride

Last Wednesday I wasn't doing well. The death of a girl I never met trampled upon my emotions and a knot of sorrow and confusion that had been growing within me came to its boiling point. By the end of the day I had to cry my guts out in the shower, but I didn't want to go to bed with that feeling, so I started drawing thinking about the girl and more generally, about many other direct and indirect victims of this regime whose stories I've come into contact with over the years. The result brought me peace and I could rest at ease.

Yesterday's vibration was the entire opposite of that: a beautiful day of personal success, joy and fun. My phone stopped accepting the SIM card due to some sort of internal issue, but fortunately, thanks to Hive and my translation work, I had the means to purchase a new one and now I can do a bunch of other things I couldn't before. Immediately after that, I went to my HEMA training, met with my combat brothers and had a lot of fun; later, a beautiful girl with whom I've been building something (not sure what yet, but I wanna find out) went to the training space and we had a chance to talk in person fort he first time since we first met months ago. The whole thing felt like Christmas, and I couldn't help but notice the connection between my big release of energy the day before and this amazing, blissful opening.

Times aren't easy for anyone right now. Even people who have strong passive support circles like me, or who have the means to access goods and services that aren't available for the majority, are going through deep periods of transition requiring considerable investments of energy, whether we're aware of it or not. In my journey, I've learned to approach tumults and hardships with a sense of surrender, to live all emotions as deeply as possible without thrusting them upon others. This has often made some of my days quite miserable, but it's also allowed me to live the remainder of my days in calm, because I just jump into the inner fray immediately and resolve whatever's there to resolve, which allows me to let go much more quickly. A few years ago, I could spend weeks in the same state of anger or sadness with no end in sight, but I've brought it down to hours with this method. Everything happens for Love and everything can be thanked for. In fact, the things that we have the toughest time feeling grateful for are our best lessons on gratitude.

I know why I'm living the things that I've been living. I know what purpose I have to fulfill where I'm now. The price of this clarity has been detachment, isolation, loneliness, self-questioning, silence, and it's a price that I pay gladly because I also have a general idea of where I'm heading and it's marvelous. The highest Wonder exacts the greatest payment, and this isn't just about my personal situation or my country's, but about the process of the entire world. In part, that's why I decided to start posting my daily readings in Cross Culture and eventually other communities, I feel it's time to build other kinds of bridges with other kinds of people. This global transformation compels us all and I know the difference my service can make on the lives of others.
