Hive and the Tools of Expression + Daily Runes
The need to share and learn
Surely most readers have heard that letting out some steam, flushing things out of the system, is very useful to preserve personal peace and equanimity. Creation and expression are the best ways to do this: every time we paint, build, carve, write, dance or speak our minds and hearts, we're pulling things from our psyche and our guts and putting it out into the world. Two main benefits come from this: we empty ourselves of that which is inside us so as to receive more information, and we're making it into a tangible product that we can study if we choose, in order to understand ourselves a little better. Among the many forms of expression and creation that we have at our disposal, writing is one of the easiest and quickest available to us, especially if we spend a lot of time by ourselves.
Hive has given me the chance to speak my mind about very sensitive and intimate aspects of my life, and also to both train and show my creative skills through photography and drawing. But the greatest gift of this platform, even beyond allowing my self-sustenance, has been the possibility to expose my heart and spirit, to talk about what troubles me and what makes me happy, especially now that my friend count is at its lowest and I can't necessarily touch so many topics with the people I know. If I kept silent about my inner work, the truths that I've glimpsed, the hardships that I've experienced and how I've overcome them, all of that would stagnate within me and I don't think I would've made much progress. The information within us is meant to be shared, and this is especially relevant when dealing with discomfort, pain and confusion.
I don't necessarily have a theme in mind when I start writing these posts, they just flow out of my fingers, sometimes meeting a bit of resistance from my mind. There have been moments in which I've pretty much stripped down before the screen for hundreds (or hopefully thousands) of strangers to read anywhere in the world. I do it because it brings me great peace, and also because it provides me with a clear mirror to reflect my process on; yet I've received comments from people in the platform confirming that my words and insights have been helpful to them personally as well, and I can't properly convey how satisfactory and beautiful that is. My Runic work and my daily writing are part of the Service that I do for humanity, having it positively affect others regardless of nationality and physical distance is a gigantic blessing to me.
So I continue my work on this platform and I encourage everyone to explore it that way: creating deeply personal content is a way to build true rapport, to free ourselves from inner pressure and perhaps plant the seeds of change for others living elsewhere, in different contexts, under different rules, yet in realities that resonate with our own. I don't know most of the people who read or upvote my content, but I know in my heart that I'm causing ripples, and Hive is the main vehicle for that right now in my life.
Create! Express yourselves! As @danielapevs wisely pointed out in one of her recent posts, pour yourselves out of your brimming cup, clean it up, put it back where it was so that it can receive new things! Don't be afraid if your content seems to be ignored, remember that votes and comments aren't a measure of your talent or the quality of what you share. I do this because I want to and because it's a need for me to tell my story, not because I expect people to connect with what I say. I think that's the most effective attitude to profit from the existence of this platform and, indeed, any tool of communication and exchange.
I seek the means to process the depths that I access. I travel with small groups and talk about the vehicles that we use.
Weakness, tend to your energy and the balance of your health, do not commit to potentially distressing activities. If you do not have anything to communicate, do not say anything, being right cannot cost you your personal peace. Lower your guard, accept the care that is being offered to you. Eat greater quality food and in larger quantities, your austerity has brought you benefits but it is already beginning to cause you grave unbalances. Study the principles that drive you, the pillars of your conduct may be preventing you from advancing and growing. Healing implies letting go of that which no longer serves you, abandoning methods that no longer operate the same results. Work on your impulses in private and safe contexts, nobody has to deal with your reactions and bursts of emotion, mind your manners.
