When the Heart opens, the world flourishes

As you can see, once again a night Rune reappeared in the day. This has happened with only one other Rune thus far, Algiz, which follows this one according to the Aettir (I'll explain them in future publications.) The message is surrender and has inspired me to write about what we call Luck, that force that seems to sustain our actions sometimes and turn its back on us in others, as if the Universe had moods.

For me this concept has been both mysterious and useless for most of my life. I've never doubted by Free Will and therefore I've always had to accept my responsibility for the decisions I make, so the idea of Luck was never necessary for me. It's only in the past couple of years that I've returned to it with renewed scholarly fervor and have made sense of it. Now I see it as another interpretation of Coherence, a natural consequence of following my Intuition and aligning my design with the flow of the world. I realized that in the days when I ignored my hunches or made mistakes without acknowledging and correcting them, I experienced substantial noise: arguments, accidents, encounter with security forces, delays, etc; then noticed that immediately after these situations, I had days with pleasant surprises and unexpected successes, and that there was a peculiar consistency between the two. I developed (or discovered, which is the same) a qualitative system to measure these variations based on the tension between the force of Luck and its mirror opposite, Danger or Threat. Uncorrected mistakes, vanity, and anger are all expressions of Fear, so they can only manifest frightening, bothersome or unpleasant circumstances that I encompassed with the concept of Threat, while responsibility, gratitude and joy, as expressions of Love, I associated with the concept of Luck. When I started finding the balance between both energies and after paying a few small prices, I could begin a process of deliberate reduction of the level of Threat that I could even feel physically, to the point that Caracas, my home and one of the most violent cities in the world, became totally safe for me.

The essential reason of this change is my Trust. I no longer doubt the information of my surroundings nor the messages of my emotions, I just listen to and apply them. Additionally, I've managed to find beauty and pleasure even in situations that would've scared or enraged me in the past, so that currently all of my days are kind and fun in some way, I rarely feel sad or angry, and the world around me responds in like manner. My great teacher in this process has been my father whose smile forever illuminates my path beyond this plain. This I invite you wholeheartedly to trust in the Universe which is the same as trusting yourselves, and you shall witness what I tell you here.

Cuando el Corazón se abre, el mundo florece

Como pueden ver, de nuevo se repitió la Runa nocturna en el día. Ésto ha ocurrido hasta ahora sólo con otra Runa, Algiz, la que le sigue a ésta según los Aettir (que explicaré en otras publicaciones más adelante). El mensaje es de entrega y me ha inspirado a escribir sobre lo que denominamos Suerte, esa fuerza que parece sustentar nuestras acciones a veces y darnos la espalda en otras, como si el Universo tuviese estados de ánimo.

Para mí este concepto ha sido tan misterioso como inútil por la mayor parte de mi vida. Nunca he dudado de mi Libre Albedrío y por lo tanto siempre he tenido que aceptar mi responsabilidad en las decisiones que tomo, así que la idea de Suerte nunca me resultó necesaria. Es sólo desde los últimos dos años que he vuelto a ella con renovada avidez escolar y le he encontrado un sentido. Ahora la veo como otra interpretación de Coherencia, una consecuencia natural de seguir mi Intuición y alinear mi designio con el flujo del mundo. Me di cuenta de que en los días en los que ignoraba mis corazonadas o cometía errores sin reconocerlos y arreglarlos, experimentaba niveles de ruido sustanciales: discusiones, accidentes, encuentros con fuerzas de seguridad, retrasos, etc; luego me di cuenta de que inmediatamente después de estos eventos, llegaban días de gratas sorpresas y éxitos inesperados, y que los eventos guardaban una peculiar consistencia entre sí. Desarrollé (o descubrí, que es lo mismo) un sistema cualitativo para medir estas variaciones basado en la tensión entre la fuerza de Suerte y su opuesto diametral, el Peligro o Amenaza. Los errores no corregidos, la vanidad y la ira son todos expresiones del Miedo, por lo tanto, sólo pueden manifestar situaciones temibles, molestas o desagradables que englobé en el concepto de Amenaza, mientras que a la resonsabilidad, el agradecimiento y la alegría, como expresiones del Amor, las relacioné con el concepto de la Suerte. Cuando comencé a encontrar el balance entre ambas energías y luego de pagar algunos precios menores, pude iniciar un proceso de reducción deliberada del nivel de Amenaza que incluso sentía físicamente, hasta el punto en que Caracas, mi hogar y una de las ciudades más violentas del mundo, se volvió totalmente segura para mí.

La razón esencial de este cambio es mi Confianza. Ya no dudo de la información del entorno ni de los mensajes de mis emociones, tan sólo los escucho y los aplico. Además, he logrado encontrar belleza y placer incluso en situaciones que antes me hubiesen atemorizado o enfurecido, así que actualmente todos mis días son amables y divertidos de alguna forma, rara vez estoy triste o molesto, y el mundo a mi alrededor responde de igual manera. Mi gran maestro en este proceso ha sido mi padre cuya sonrisa ilumina para siempre mi camino más allá de este plano. Así pues, les invito de todo corazón a que confíen en el Universo que es lo mismo que confiar en ustedes mismos, y serán testigos de lo que les digo aquí.
