A simple call to allow ourselves pleasure

This Sunday, a little before the Ayahuasca ceremony I'd attended came to an end, I had a short but beautiful conversation with my Biodanza guide whom I hadn't seen in over a year. I told her about my process with the plant during the night and my experience of isolation in the past few months. When I told her that I'd been working on dismantling my identity, she told me about a perspective that I hadn't considered and needed more profoundly that I imagined: we have a biological identity, codified in our cells that, although related to everything I'd told you about the Narrative, is also much broader and simpler. It's the identity of the branches of the tree that remain connected to the roots regardless of how far from the ground they'd grown.

For those who don't know about Biodanza, it's a very powerful practice of communion with the body and full recognition of our emotions and the presence of others. It's a sort of Medicine of Movement whose purpose is to reveal the Pleasure which we all can access naturally by inhabiting this body and living in this material existence, so the vision of the biological identity gave me back a support that I hadn't noticed I lacked: amidst the spiritual restrictions of these dense frequencies in which we've incarnated, the body is a vehicle for Freedom, taking care of it and strengthening it expands us, grants us greater capacity for action, thereby increasing our wellbeing in all areas.

Now in the beginning of the season of Taurus, the essential sign of material presence, and in the Year of the Ox, with the exact same energy, the call is to acknowledge and potentiate our carnal existence, to tend to that profound desire of enjoyment that we so easily and often deny ourselves and simultaneously, to plant our feet on the Earth, this radiant planet that sustains and protects us.

Un llamado simple a permitirnos placer

Este domingo, un poco antes de que terminase la ceremonia de Ayahuasca a la que asistí, tuve una conversación corta pero hermosa con mi guía de Biodanza a quien no veía en más de un año. Le hablé de mi proceso con la planta durante la noche y de mi experiencia de aislamiento en los últimos meses. Cuando le dije que había estado trabajando en desmantelar mi identidad, me habló de una perspectiva que no había considerado y que necesitaba más profundamente de lo que me imaginaba: tenemos una identidad biológica, codificada en nuestras células que, si bien está asociada a todo lo que les he comentado sobre la Narrativa, también es más amplia y simple. Es la identidad de las ramas del árbol que, por muy lejos que estén de la tierra, siguen estando conectadas con las raíces.

Para los que no conozcan la Biodanza, es una práctica muy poderosa de comunión con el cuerpo y reconocimiento pleno de nuestras emociones y de la presencia de otros. Es una suerte de Medicina del Movimiento cuyo propósito es revelar el Placer al cual todos tenemos acceso naturalmente por habitar este cuerpo y vivir en esta existencia material, así que la visión de la identidad biológica me retornó un soporte que no me había dado cuenta que me faltaba: en medio de las restricciones espirituales de estas frecuencias densas en las que encarnamos, el cuerpo es un vehículo para la Libertad, cuidarlo y fortalecerlo nos expande, nos otorga mayor capacidad de acción y, por ende, incrementa nuestro bienestar en todas las áreas.

Ahora que comienza la temporada de Tauro, el signo esencial de la presencia material, y en el Año del Buey, que tiene idéntica energía, el llamado es a reconocer y potenciar nuestra existencia carnal, a atender ese profundo anhelo de disfrute que con tanta facilidad y frecuencia nos negamos y simultáneamente, a poner nuestros pies en la Tierra, este planeta radiante que nos sustenta y nos protege.
